The Hank For Senate campaign respects your privacy and takes the security of your information seriously. This document is meant to explain the information practices we use, what information is kept, how it is used, and steps taken to protect it.
What information do we collect?
Information is only collected in select locations throughout our site. When signing up for our newsletter, we ask for your email address, first and last name, mailing address, city, state, and zip code. When contacting us through our contact form, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, and a message. When telling friends about Hank, we ask for your name, email, and the email addresses of friends you wish to collect. When contacting us via the US Postal Service, your contact information may be stored in an electronic database. You may also contact our campaign through Facebook and Twitter, and that information is retained only on the basis of those sites’ privacy policy.
How do we use the information you provide?
We realize the information you share with us is a gift and an expression of trust, and we will never violate that trust. Your contact information will never be sold or given away to a third party (except by lawful subpoena). If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will use the email address to provide you news and information about Hank for Senate. We may also send out targeted emails to individuals who have subscribed to our newsletter based upon your zip code to notify you of important campaign events or activities in your area. On occasion, we may also use the information that you provide online to contact you for other purposes or to solicit you for contributions. Of course, we believe in complying with law enforcement and as such we may release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law (e.g., a lawful subpoena), to protect our rights or property, or to protect our donors and supporters from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay.
When you contribute money online
We are required by federal law to collect and report to the Federal Election Commission the name, mailing address, occupation and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per election cycle. These records are available to the public. However, they cannot be used by other organizations for fundraising. We also make a note of your telephone number and e-mail address, which helps us to contact you quickly if follow-up on your contribution is necessary under Federal election law. Information on Children
We do not knowingly, directly or passively, collect information from children under the age of 13. To respect the privacy of children and to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, children under the age of 13 should not provide any personal information on this site. We ask that parents supervise their children while online.

If you wish to unsubscribe from our communications, please email us at info@hankforsenate.com. We will regularly process these requests. To comply with federal election law, however, our contributor records will be continuously maintained in a separate secure database.
